Jolly Onion- Oignon joyeux

Inspired by old rustic French cooking.
Savory and wholesome.
Onion braised with thick bacon bits in a red wine mushroom sauce. Stuffed or serve over chopped onion, crumbly bread stuffing and cheese or onion and mashed rutabaga.
Garnish with edible flowers and parsley.
